The prototype of Bruce Munro’s Water-Towers is to be displayed on the stand of The Pure Energy Centre, a leading supplier of renewable energy systems based in Shetland. PURE is an internationally renowned team providing hydrogen cell products and training in renewable energy.

Munro had been in discussion with Elizabeth Johnson at PURE for some time, trying to find ways in which they could collaborate. 'As an artist, I’m trying not to be wasteful, to be responsible to the environment, and that’s particularly important when you light is your medium,' he says. Finally he created the design for Water-Towers, and asked PURE to provide the hydrogen fuel cell power to illuminate it.

'We are delighted to be collaborating with Bruce, and hope this will showcase the merits of renewable technologies to the wider public,' says Johnson.
