Vestas appoints new head for Central Europe

Vestas has appointed Dr Wolfgang J. Schmitz as its new head for Central Europe as Hans Jörn Rieks moves to become head of Vestas Offshore.

Schmitz has experience from the energy, automotive and transport sectors, as well as metal and mining industries, Vestas says.

Vestas recently announced major restructuring of its management team as well as large job cuts.
