The CEO of Amonix passed away on 22 December 2011.

He joined Amonix in late 2009 through the acquisition of Sunworks Solar LLC, where he was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the solar power manufacturing plant development company (2008-2009).

Prior to that, he co-founded Sun Edison LLC, North America’s largest solar energy services provider, which was acquired by MEMC in 2009. At SunEdison he led growth in senior leadership positions such as President (2007-2008) and Chief Financial Officer (2004-2007).

Brian built several companies from early stage development. In 1996, he co-founded PlanetAll, where he served as Chief Technical Officer until Amazon.com acquired the web-based services start-up in 1998. He continued operating as a group program manager at Amazon.com, where he was instrumental in building out community and personalisation technologies, as well as launching the company’s toy business.

In 1999, Brian also co-founded Visible Markets, an electronic trading platform for mortgage- and asset-backed securities, where he was Chief Executive Office until the platform was acquired by Thomson Financial in 2001.

Brian Robertson was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Computer Science, and held an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he led students’ efforts to install solar panels on the Shad Hall athletic facility. He was married with three children.
