REpower supplies 122 MW Dutch wind farm

REpower Systems SE is supplying 36 of its 3.4M104 wind turbines for a 122 MW wind farm near Zeewolde, the Netherlands, to be developed by Zuidlob Wind B.V., which is owned by Nuon, part of Swedish Vattenfall.

The wind turbines are optimised for strong wind conditions, and have a hub height of 98 m.

The installation of the wind farm is to be completed in spring 2013.

Andreas Nauen, CEO of REpower Systems SE, says: “After the successful installation of the alpha ventus and Ormonde offshore projects, we are very pleased to work together with Vattenfall also in the area of onshore wind. At the same time we are proud to jointly implement this flagship project – one of the country’s largest wind farms.”
