The Evance R9000 small wind turbine passed the UK’s Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), in July 2010.

“The R9000 is an excellent design. Today over 600 turbines are producing energy for home owners, farmers and businesses round the world and we have turbines operating in over a quarter of the US states,” commented Kevin Parslow, CEO of Evance Wind Turbines.

“I see this as another positive step in strengthening our North American programme and fully expect to have full SWCC certification within the stated eighteen months.”

“At the SWCC we verify that small wind turbines meet or exceed the requirements of the AWEA standard. This provides a consistent standard giving customers confidence in the performance of a turbine,” adds Brent Summerville, Technical Director, Small Wind Certification Council.
