The Loyola-Abengoa Research Centre is also planned to be used for training professionals in R&D activities, and as a scientific and technological forum for proposing solutions for renewable energy and sustainable development.
The collaboration agreement, initially for 10 years, also includes cooperation in the following areas:
- Academic;
- Research, technological development and innovation;
- Technical, technological and consultancy studies;
- Studies of social and environmental problems; and
- Cooperation for development of European programmes.
Loyola Andalucia University is a private University run by the Company of Jesus, which is waiting for official status from the regional Government of Andalucia. It aims to start classes during the 2013-14 academic year, and to be fully functional by 2017.
