Vattenfall gets green light for Ray Wind Farm

Vattenfall has received planning permission for a 56 MW wind farm in Northumberland, UK.

The Ray Wind Farm will consist of 16 onshore wind turbines, and will have a potential capacity of up to 56 MW.

David Hodkinson, Director and Head of Development at Vattenfall Wind Power in the UK, says: “We are delighted with the decision by the UK Government to grant planning permission for Vattenfall’s Ray Wind Farm as it is an important step forward for the project.

“We would like to thank our supporters in Northumberland and in particular Lord Devonport who has stuck with this proposal for several years. We will continue to engage with the local community as we continue to develop the proposal.”
