Romag to provide rooftop solar PV for CES

Romag Holdings Plc will provide solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and roof mount kits for Community Energy Solutions (CES) in a contract worth up to £10.2 million.

CES is a non-profit distributing organisation based in the North East of England driving the uptake of micro-generation renewable technology in the region.

The solar PV equipment contracted from Romag will be used in approximately 2000 solar PV systems in homes and properties across the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside that will be installed within the next two years.

David Banks, Finance Director of Romag Holdings, says: “We are delighted to have won the tender process and signed this very substantial contract with CES. We have been experiencing a higher level of enquiries for this kind of micro-generation system since the implementation of the UK feed-in tariff in April this year and it is extremely pleasing to see that interest materialise into a major agreement like this.

“As a company we have always tried to respond to market needs and demands and the new ‘PV solar kits’ that we have developed for CES is a prime example of this approach coming to fruition.”
