The service package includes remote monitoring and troubleshooting, routine services, preventative maintenance, on-site support and parts support, up-tower inspection and repair, condition monitoring and turbine performance and life extension solutions.
GE plans to extend the wind turbine service agreements to all turbine modules globally. The service agreement also gives customers access to GE’s wind turbine upgrades developed based on new product evolutions.
“GE’s wind turbine FSA [full service agreement] has been designed to best support the life-cycle of GE units,” says Diarmaid Mulholland, General Manager – Wind Services for GE Power & Water.
“With the FSA< customers will be able to maximise the performance of their existing units – also adding project security and the ability to better plan their total maintenance costs.”
10-year wind turbine service in Portugal
GE has also recently agreed a 10-year extension of O&M services for Iberwind Wind Farms in Portugal.
The O&M agreement covers support and all related technology and engineering aspects for Iberwind’s Lomba Da Seixa II wind farm in Montalegre and Senhora Da Vitoria wind farm in Nazaré. Both sites have 8 GE 1.5 MW wind turbines with a combined generation capacity of 24 MW.
GE will also deliver parts for corrective maintenance activities through a parts management programme contract for the wind turbines.
