NRG Systems introduces small wind measurement system

Wind measurement equipment provider NRG Systems has introduced a 34 m system to support small-scale wind energy projects and wind energy research.

“With more incentives for small- and community-scale wind, there’s a greater need for people to understand their wind resource before investing in a turbine,” says Larry Jacobs, NRG Systems’ Marketing Manager.

The 34 m system includes a tubular tilt-up tower, a SymphoniePLUS™ 15-channel data logger, three NRG #40C anemometers, a wind vane and parts.

The wind measurement system can be used for micro-siting or prospecting applications or in remote locations where installation of taller towers may not be possible.

NRG Systems is based in Hinesburg, Vermont, USA.
