Heliocentris wins further photovoltaic-fuel cell system order in the Gulf

German-based Heliocentris Fuel Cells is to supply an autonomous fuel cell power supply solution to the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAEET), a leading training center in Kuwait.

Heliocentris will supply a PAEET laboratory with a fully integrated energy solution consisting of photovoltaic (PV) modules, a wind generator, an electrolyzer, and a fuel cell system as well as the associated energy storage management solution.

This will make the storage of energy from renewable sources, and the use of such energy in an integrated energy supply concept, a reality. In this way, PAEET is making a fully integrated renewable energy system available to its students.

‘This order from Kuwait is a further project for us in the Middle East, following the order we just recently received from an oil company in Bahrain,’ says Dr András Gosztonyi, CFO of Heliocentris.

In December, Heliocentris received an order from the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) to supply a complete system, including a PV module and a wind power plant, for a building.

Heliocentris Fuel Cells supplies clean energy storage solutions based on a ‘smart’ combination of batteries, fuel cells, and energy management. Such systems serve mobile and stationary applications that require longer ranges than batteries can currently provide.
