Neah Power announces commercial launch of fuel cell solutions

Neah Power Systems is taking orders for its Infinity eL™ series fuel cells, which are now available as stand-alone products and as integrated solutions. The company is developing renewable energy solutions based on its unique silicon-based micro fuel cell technology.

The Infinity eL series of fuel cells is available in 25, 50, 75 and 100 W sizes, and will provide 12 V DC output, which can also be tailored for specific applications. The instant recharge capability is based on swapping out fuel cartridges, with 400 Wh of energy per cartridge.

‘This is a significant occasion for the company, to have demonstrated constant operation for excess of 2000 hours, and see the fruits of $40 million of research and development in such a compelling way,’ says Dr Chris D’Couto, President and CEO of Neah Power.

He continues: ‘Neah enables our customers – with the superior power density, anaerobic functionality, and cost-effective manufacturing capability of our products – to meet their critical power needs.’

Neah Power Systems is developing long-lasting, efficient and safe power solutions for the military and for portable electronic devices. Neah uses a unique, patented, silicon-based design for its micro fuel cells that enables higher power densities, lower cost, and compact form-factors. The company’s micro fuel cells can run in aerobic and anaerobic modes.
