Grupo Clavijo and Brafer partner up for photovoltaic projects in Brazil

Grupo Clavijo and Brafer have signed an agreement that will provide developers, installers and EPC contractors with access to advanced technology in fixed structures and solar trackers for their projects in Brazil.

The Spanish company Grupo Clavijo and the Brazilian firm Brafer have reached a strategic partnership agreement that will allow them to combine the latest technology in solar tracker design and performance with the highest quality of manufacturing in the country. Brafer brings its long and proven track record in manufacturing steel structures with its own galvanisation plant, while the Spanish company is considered one of the top global companies in the solar tracker sector. The agreement will allow them to undertake major photovoltaic projects in Brazil, which today has more than 2.5 GW of solar photovoltaic energy scheduled to be installed in the coming two to three years as a result of auctions held by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) in 2014 and 2015. The agreement will also respond to other demands in the Latin American market.

The two companies are ready to begin projects in Brazil, with solar trackers manufactured in Brazil and financed by the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES)
