Well over 12 hours of conference time will be devoted to grid issues ane energy storage at ALL-ENERGY 2015, the two-day show being held at the SECC, Glasgow on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 May.
As Jonathan Heastie, ALL-ENERGY'S event director (Reed Exhibitions), explains: “We have a grid and storage-related plenary session speaker on Day 2 in Mark Adolphus, director of connections, UK Power Networks; four compelling ‘guest sessions’ thanks to the team behind the ISLES II Project (Irish-Scottish Links on Energy Study); The IET and the Smart Grid Forum, the ENSEA project; and Innovate UK.”
In addition, Heastie notes, there are two sessions on the grid, as well as two seminars on energy storage. Plus, the inaugural session on Local Energy Economies naturally touches on both the grid and energy storage. Organised by Community Energy Scotland & Highlands and Islands Enterprise, it has subsections with presentations under the headings ‘Linking local energy generation to local demand to overcome grid constraints’ and ‘Developing new local supply companies and tariffs.'
In all, more than 440 speakers are confirmed to speak in lively debates, discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions in 110-plus hours of conference and ‘quick-fire’ seminar presentations.
