Reed Exhibitions Japan has announced plans to hold the 6th edition of BATTERY JAPAN - Int'l Rechargeable Battery Expo at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, from February 25-27, 2015. According to the show’s organizer, the show will feature the latest innovations in rechargeable battery-related technologies.
The exhibition show floor will host an impressive number of materials, component technologies, finished products and manufacturing equipment and machines. Firms from various countries such as Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Korea, Taiwan, China etc. will be exhibiting and in addition to exhibits of individual firms, Germany, China, Korea and Taiwan will be participating with national pavilions. Vendors include companies such as HITACHI CHEMICAL, ELIIY POWER, SUMITOMO ELECTRIC INDUSTRIES, GE, VARTA MICRO BATTERY, ASAHI KASEI FDK ENERGY DEVICE, NIPPON CHEMI-CON, TAIYO YUDEN, THANK-METAL, NAGANO AUTOMATION, TOYO HITEC, TOYO, ZEON, BASF, KUREHA BATTERY MATERIALS JAPAN and HEREUS, among others.
This year’s show will also feature the launch of the “Battery Management System Zone.” Situated within the exhibition area, this newly launched zone will allow firms with technologies and products to support such qualities to appeal to researchers, engineers and developers of this particular field.
Comprehensive conference sessions
Aside from the exhibitions, BATTERY JAPAN 2015 also entails a Technical Conference, which will be held concurrent to the exhibition. The keynote session is scheduled to take place February 26 and will focus on the current state and future outlook on the rechargeable battery industry.
Other special events include presentations by Ayumu Matsuo, operating officer of Honda R&D Co., Ltd. In addition, Automobile R&D Center will be holding a talk on “Honda's Effort to the Development of Electric Vehicle.” Also, Peter Lamp, head of research battery technology of BMW Group, will be speaking about “BMW i - A Holistic Approach to Electro-mobility”. A representative from Toshiba will also be joining the session.
