Lightsource Renewable Energy has moved into new London headquarters, from its former base at Old Bailey to a new custom-built office space of more than 30,000 square ft at 33 Holborn. The move was necessary to accommodate the rapidly growing Lightsource team. (Founded in 2010 with just six staff, Lightsource now has a team of over 300 in-house professionals from over 25 different nations and in that time has become the largest PV business in Europe.)

"We have passed many milestones along the way, from the development of some of the largest commercial solar PV projects in the country, establishing offices in Northern Ireland and Scotland, launching our commercial rooftop division and the creation of a nationwide network of installers – not to mention several industry awards."
Proving that solar energy has become more than just a cottage industry, Lightsource Renewable Energy operates and maintains the largest portfolio of utility scale solar PV plants in the United Kingdom, with a total installed capacity of more than 700MWp. With a very significant pipeline under construction, Lightsource is well on-course to become the first UK developer to hit the 1GWp mark early this year.1
