Vestas receives order for 77 MW of wind turbines for Spain

Vestas has received an order for a total of 24m V90 2.0 MW wind turbines and 16 units of the V90 1.8 MW wind turbine for three projects in Spain.

The order was placed by Eufer, a joint venture (JV) between the Italian Enel Green Power and the Spanish Union Fenosa. As of 1 January 2009, Eufer was the fifth largest wind energy company in Spain with a market share of 3.7% of cumulative wind power, Vestas says.

The first wind turbines are expected to be installed by the end of 2009, and the total annual production of the wind power plants will amount to 138 GWh.

The contract includes supply, installation, a VestasOnline® Business SCADA solution, as well as a five-year service agreement, Vestas says.
