SgurrEnergy opens South African office

Move designed to help meet the growing demand for renewable energy consultancy services in the region.

“The launch of this office in Johannesburg will allow SgurrEnergy to take advantage of South Africa as a renewable energy business hub, given its abundant wind and solar resources," said Solly Malema, SgurrEnergy’s business development manager for South Africa.

The establishment of an office in Johannesburg comes as part of a wider three-year expansion plan announced by SgurrEnergy, part of Wood Group, in 2012. SgurrEnergy boosted staffing in its Glasgow headquarters, from 90 people to180 since 2012, and launched new offices in Brazil and Norway (2012) and in Germany (2013).
