Cianbro Corporation has been notified by Siemens that Cape Wind and Siemens have entered into a technical services agreement contract for the Cape Wind offshore wind farm project.  The contract includes a modularization opportunity for Cianbro, which will build the electrical service platform for the project at the company’s modular manufacturing facility in Brewer, Maine.  

The electrical service platform will function as an offshore substation that will pull the power generated by individual wind turbines and send it ashore, explained Pete Vigue, Cianbro chairman and CEO. “This development gives us confidence that Maine can compete successfully in building and exporting sophisticated projects," he stated.
