OCI Solar Power names new vice president of development

John Huffaker brings more than 25 years of energy development experience.

Before joining OCI Solar Power, Huffaker formed Quadro Advisors, a boutique advisory firm specializing in corporate and business development. Prior to Quadro Advisors, he was vice president of international business development at Areva Solar, president of AES Silk Road (CIS subsidiary of AES Corporation), and held mergers and acquisition leadership roles in at both AES Corporation and Enron International.

As vice president of development at OCI Solar Power, Huffaker will be responsible for leading site, project and portfolio acquisition for more than 700 MW of solar PV projects. He will also negotiate land acquisitions; evaluate the feasibility of projects from concept, through business case development, to acquisition, as well as serve as OCI Solar Power’s ambassador to local and state government officials.

Huffaker earned an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
