Elsevier and Energy Institute collaborate on first Energy Systems conference

Elsevier and the UK professional institution the Energy Institute (EI) have organised the first Energy Systems conference to be held 24-25 June 2014 in London.

The conference is intended to present new ways of analysing which structures, processes and policy approaches are needed to improve technology integration and to drive change in energy investment.

"By organizing this conference together with Elsevier we aim to provide a forum for sharing expertise, developing understanding and providing recommendations on how best to develop the secure, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy system we need," said Joan MacNaughton, past president, Energy Institute, and executive chair – energy and climate policy assessment, World Energy Council.

"We are delighted to work so closely with the Energy Institute to organize the Energy Systems Conference next year,” said Bethan Keall, Elsevier's director of energy journals. “We see this as a key opportunity to work together with academia, industry representatives and policy leaders to seek long term, integrated solutions for the challenges facing the delivery of energy, both locally and globally."
