Strategies Unlimited announces partnership with SPV market research

SPV Market Research is a new company founded by globally-renowned PV expert Paula Mints.

Strategies Unlimited and SPV Market Research will collaborate on photovoltaic market research, custom consulting, and will provide an industry service.

SPV's Paula Mints has an MBA from San Jose State. She was most recently a director in the energy division responsible for its Solar Services Program, at Navigant Consulting and prior to that was a Senior Market Analyst at Strategies Unlimited.

Strategies Unlimited began providing photovoltaic market research products in the mid-1970s.

Ms. Mints is widely recognised for her expertise in the global solar technologies market. Her insight and analysis on the technology, manufacturing, and demand sides of the solar industry are regarded as “must reads” for industry professionals. Ms. Mints is currently working with the CPV consortium to develop its forecast.

She publishes often with Renewable Energy World and Renewable Energy Focus, and recently her chapter, Overview of Photovoltaic Production, Markets and Perspectives, was published in the Fraunhofer/Elsevier book Advances in Photovoltaics Volume 1, edited by Dr. Gerhard Willeke and Dr. Eicke Weber.

In 2012, Ms. Mints spoke at several conferences, including the IEEE PVSC and EU PVSEC, where she presented her work on photovoltaic technology pricing. In December 2012 she will speak at Intersolar China, Beijing, where she will present an analysis of, and forecast for, the US solar market.

Globally, the manufacturing side of the solar industry is in the midst of its most significant consolidation while the industry as a whole adjusts to a low incentive environment. In 2013, SPV Market Research, and Strategies Unlimited will publish quarterly and biannual reports addressing the concerns facing the solar industry its technologies, suppliers, markets and participants and will be available for special projects.
