ITT believes that the variable speed pump controller is more cost-efficient and energy-saving due to the combination of a hardware platform and advanced pumping software.

The new 502 pump controller and adjustable frequency drive from ITT offers control of up to four parallel pumps, four analogue inputs for a combination of zone sensors, flow sensors and suction sensors, and customized algorithms to handle a range of pumping applications, including secondary, tertiary, hot water, chilled water and pressure boosting.

There are safeguards included in the program that protect against damaging hydraulic conditions such as pump flow surges.
