SENER and Torresol Energy walked away with four of the 8 CSP prizes awarded. Specifically, SENER received the awards for Engineering Firm 2011 and Increased Dispatchability Solution 2011. Torresol Energy was awarded in the categories Commercialised Technology Innovation 2011 and Most Effective Project Development 2011.

Torresol Energy is perhaps most known for the 19.9 MW Gemasolar concentrating solar power (CSP) plant in Spain, which was commissioned in May.
