Solarhybrid and First Solar JV to take over Solar Millennium's US pipeline

Solarhybrid AG and First Solar may form a joint venture (JV) to take over Solar Millennium AG's US solar project pipeline, including the 1 GW Blythe project.

By Kari Williamson

Tom Schröder, CEO of Solarhybrid, says the company plans to enter into a JV with First Solar to equip the Californian project locations of Blythe (1 GW) and Palen (500 MW) using First Solar's modules.

The negotiations with Solar Millennium are expected to be finalised around the end of November.

Solar Millennium’s project pipeline in the south-west of the US has a total capacity of 2.25 GW. Solar Millennium would still participate in the financial results from the realisation of the planned solar power plants.
