Amonix’ headquarters in Seal Beach, CA, and its production facility in North Las Vegas, NV, total almost 300,000 ft² of green building.

At the 214,000 ft² North Las Vegas facility, Amonix produces its MegaModule CPV systems, and the facility features 8 CPV solar systems supplying 100% of facility’s energy needs – around 1.5 GWh annually.

Additionally, North Las Vegas’ lighting arrays exceed LEED requirements by 15-20%. High-performance plumbing fixtures at both facilities decrease water usage 41% compared to conventional buildings and more than 70% of Amonix’ equipment and appliances are ENERGY STAR certified.

In California, Amonix' rehabilitated 78,000 ft² facility won LEED Gold Certification in Feb. 2011. The Seal Beach facility earned the maximum score for its lighting system designs, which minimises wasted ambient light by focusing on work areas rather than common spaces by installing tubular 'daylighting' devices bring natural light into dark spaces.

5 MW CPV in NM

Amonix has also built a 5 MW solar CPV power plant in Hatch, New Mexico. The plant is owned and operated by NextEra Energy Resources LLC.

The Hatch Solar Energy Center was built by Blattner Energy Inc and El Paso Electric has committed to buying the centre’s power for the next 25 years from NextEra under a long-term contract.

The solar CPV plant consists of 84 Amonix 60 kW systems.
