Spire delivers 25 MW solar PV module assembly line to India

Spire Corporation is providing a 25 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) module assembly line to Sonali Energees Pvt Ltd in Gujarat, India.

The assembly line includes an Spi-ELTM Electroluminescence Tester and has the ability to produce glass to glass modules for building-integrated PV (BIPV) solar applications.

Roger G. Little, Chairman and CEO of Spire Corporation, says: "There is a great need for solar power in India and around the world. Recent programmes implemented by the Indian Government have contributed to rapid growth of PV systems throughout the country. The Indian Government has also set up incentives for local content and supply to encourage domestic manufacturing. Sonali Solar is taking advantage of this opportunity.”

Pankaj H. Desai, President and CEO of Sonali Solar, adds: "With this new assembly line, Sonali will be able to grow its business in both domestic and export markets. The company's goal is to produce a highly reliable and efficient product that is affordable to each and every consumer. We have been pleased with the local support that Spire has provided during our evaluations."
