The 1.6-100 wind turbine is said to offer a 47% increase in swept area over previous megawatt-class models, resulting in a 19% increase in annual energy production at 7.5 m/sec wind speed.

The 750 additional wind turbines bring the total number of orders and commitments to US$2.7 billion and more than 2 GW since the turbine was launched in May this year.
