“Despite the difficult market environment, our Italian subsidiary is successful in the trading business. We are also particularly pleased that all the power plants built by Phoenix Solar in Italy were connected to the grid by the deadline of 31 August 2011 and are therefore eligible for the feed-in tariffs valid up until then," says Ulrich Reidenbach, Chief Sales Officer of Phoenix Solar AG.

Phoenix Solar AG's Italian subsidiary will build the 227 kWp rooftop solar PV power plant using Trina Solar and MiaSolé modules. It is expected to be connected to the grid before the end of the year.

Phoenix Solar Srl is also delivering solar PV modules from First Solar for an independent power producer to build two solar power plants with a peak power of 1.7 MW and 1 MW respectively. Under a second contract, the company will supply MiaSolé solar PV modules to an Italian investor to be used in the construction of a solar power plant with a peak power of 1 MW in the vicinity of Rome.
