Intersolar: SCHOTT Solar launches InDaX 225 module series

SCHOTT Solar has announced a new generation of modules for roof-integrated solar systems at the Intersolar 2009 event in Munich, Germany.

Schott's InDaX 225 Series of modules are designed to replace conventional roofing tiles, and have a nominal output of more than 200 W. The new products are expected to be available for purchase starting in March 2010.

According to Schott, the InDaX Series can be installed in a 'plug & play' manner, thanks to "how few components it requires". Unevenness in roofs can even be compensated for by adding a separate rain gutter between the modules. This rain gutter also sees condensation drain off the sides.

Technical Data

  • Nominal output: 225 Wp;
  • Voltage at nominal output: 29.8 V;
  • Maximum system voltage: 1000 V;
  • Weight: 24 kg;
  • Dimensions: 1742 x 1000 mm;
  • Frame height: 75 mm;
  • Connections: IP65 socket with 3 bypass diodes, Solar cable with Tyco socket connectors.
