Nordex wins turbine contracts in Poland and France

Nordex is to supply 32.5 MW of wind turbines to wind farms run by European companies.

Nordex is to supply 8 of its N100/2500 wind turbines to a Polish power supplier in October 2011.

In France the private project company Vent Local has ordered five N90/2500 machines. Nordex is to build the Vent Local wind farm on a turnkey basis with the wind turbines being delivered in August this year.

Both customers have signed Premium Service Agreements for periods of 15 and 10 years, respectively.

The Polish wind farm project will be set up in the North-West of the country. The annual energy yield of its wind turbines is expected to be around 50 GWh. It will be the first N100/2500 wind farm in Poland, and at 20 MW it is currently the third largest Nordex project in the country.

Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, Nordex CSO, says: “We expect the Polish market to continue to perform well. In the future we will certainly also be successful here with our new large turbine, the N117/2400.”

The Jouy en Pithiverais wind farm in France is situated in the Beauce region between Paris and Orléans, where Nordex Service already has around 80 wind turbines under contract. The five N90/2500 wind turbines are to generate almost 32 GWh of electricity each year.
