Eolus Vind buys 180 MW of Vestas wind turbines

Eolus Vind AB has entered into a framework agreement with Vestas for the delivery of 180 MW of wind turbines over the next three years.

The agreement encompasses VestasV90, V100 and V112 wind turbines, and Eolus has the option of adding a further 40 MW of wind turbines.

Gustaf Ekberg, VD at Eolus Vind, says: “Eolus is in a phase of strong growth. Within the next financial year we will establish around 90 wind turbines. Through this agreement and agreements with other suppliers, we have secured access to turbines for a large part of our expansion over the next few years.” [Translated from Swedish by Renewable Energy Focus.]

Vestas has confirmed the agreement, but says: “When the individual orders within the frame agreement become firm and unconditional and if the size of the individual orders qualifies to be announced as company announcements, Vestas will immediately thereafter make a company announcement concerning this.”
