HgCapital acquires another Spanish solar PV plant

HgCapital’s Renewable Power Partners Fund together with local partners, have acquired a 5.25 MWp Spanish solar photovoltaic (PV) project for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition brings HgCapital’s Spanish PV portfolio to 42 MWp across five projects. HgCapital acquired the project from Montebalito SA and Invercartera Energia.

The 5.25 MWp solar PV project is located near Toledo, Spain, and was originally developed by Proener. The solar panels were supplied by Conergy and Sunpower.

Tom Murley, Head of HgCapital’s renewable energy team, says: “This is the latest in a series of strategic investments in Spanish renewables. This project continues our strategy of investing in ‘A grade’ assets and complements our existing Spanish and European portfolio.”
