International Power develops 220 MW geothermal in Indonesia

International Power (IPR), PT Supreme Energy and Marubeni Corporation have entered into a joint venture (JV) agreement to develop the Rantau Dedap geothermal project in South Sumatra Province, Indonesia.

The geothermal project, in which IPR has a 35% interest, is part of the Indonesian Government's second 10 GW accelerated electricity development programme.

International Power has 1280 MW of operating power generation assets and 815 MW of capacity under construction in Indonesia.
