The Ontario feed-in tariff demands that a majority of solar components are made locally, and Conergy has therefore entered a two-year framework agreement with an undisclosed manufacturing partner in Ontario.

A Conergy spokesperson tells Renewable Energy Focus that Conergy does not disclose manufacturing partners "since we focus on quality of our Conergy products and not on the partner himself." The deal is in the lower-mid double-digit MW range.

The Ontario solar market is expected to double in 2011.
