Platina Partners buy 10 MW of Italian solar PV

Equity fund manager Platina Partners LLP is acquiring 10 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in the Puglia region of southern Italy from Degennaro Group.

By Renewable Energy Focus staff

Degennaro Group will continue as the operations and maintenance contractor for the solar PV plants.

Thomas Rottner, Managing Partner of Platina Partners, says: “Italy is a key market for Platina. The country has now surpassed the US in terms of solar PV installation and holds some interesting opportunities in other renewable energies. This growth has been driven by excellent support regime and we are hopefully that current uncertainty with regards to future regimes will be addressed soon.”
