The 8000 ft2 facility based at Nottingham’s Easter Park, which will provide global manufacturers and installers of solar PV modules independent strategy advice and validation of their products, IPSol says.
IPSol Energy has secured around £500,000 in investment from private backers for the centre.
“Rising energy prices, depletion of fossil fuels, concerns about climate change and energy security have all contributed to the remarkable growth of PV in the last decade,” explains IPSol Energy CEO Peter Khoury.
“Additionally, with the introduction of the UK Government feed-in tariffs in April 2010, the UK market has experienced a tremendous surge of 1000% in the uptake of PV and is in dire need of the services being provided by IPSol.”
