Gamesa will develop 600 MW of wind projects in the Jilin province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China with two Chinese partners.

By Renewable Energy Focus staff

The two 300 MW contracts are with Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power and China Huadian New Energy Development. Gamesa will deliver its G9X 2 MW wind turbine for the projects over the next five years.

The wind turbines will be produced at Gamesa’s Jilin factory for the Jilin wind projects, and at Gamesa’s Inner Mongolia factory for the wind projects in Inner Mongolia.

Jorge Calvet, Chairman of Gamesa, says: “…we continue to grow with our clients here in China, one of our largest markets. We are a reliable partner for China in reaching its goals for clean energy and sustainable development. These agreements show that our Chinese clients value our leading technology and competitive Cost of Energy (CoE)”.
