The approval was issued according to the GL Guideline for the Certification of Wind Turbines, Edition 2010, confirming that the composite wind turbine blades comply with GL requirements. GL says Tianjin Dongqi is so far the only wind turbine blade manufacturer in China with GL Shop Approval.

Following a thorough inspection, Tianjin Dongqi was approved as a manufacturer of wind turbine blades bade of fibre reinforced polymers (FRP) for manual lamination as well as for vacuum assisted resin infusion.

The shop approval will expire at the end of 2011.
