The solar PV rooftop system could have an annual output of 7.3 GWh and is said to be the largest solar rooftop plant in Germany. The installation consists of around 95,500 solar modules covering approximately 87,000 m².

The thin-film solar modules were produced by First Solar and were connected to the grid at the end of 2010.
