Vestas was selected following a public wind energy tender announced by the regional Government in Galicia.

The wind projects are expected to be installed over the period 2012-2014.

More than 70% of the total wind power tender capacity of 2325 MW has been awarded to 20 bidding companies which had submitted proposals exclusively with Vestas technology.

Vestas says it will now continue the negotiations with the different companies, and the orders will be announced as they become firm and unconditional.
