The wind turbine will provide electricity for Hamburg Elbe islands and form the centrepiece for a renewable energy information centre.

The wind turbine will be installed by the end of 2011 at the former landfill site, which is being redeveloped as part of the Renewable Wilhelmsburg climate protection scheme by the International Building Exhibition IBA Hamburg.
