A challenging first quarter has resulted in a solar cells and modules inventory build-up. The halving of production affects 180 employees through terminations of temporary employment contracts, temporary lay-offs or permanent employees and rescheduled holidays.

REC does not, however, expect changes to the production of solar cells and modules in the third and fourth quarter of 2009.
