The REpower subsidiary will start operations on 1 October and will have its offices at Group headquarters in Hamburg.

REpower Systems GmbH will bundle sales, project management and service of onshore wind turbines in Germany and Austria.

Around 200 employees in these and other areas will transfer from the AG to the new company.

Andreas Nauen, CEO of REpower Systems AG, says: “In our international core markets, we have already established highly effective subsidiaries. We now want to also implement this in the domestic market so that we can consistently follow the course of becoming a truly global corporation and adapt our international organizational structure here in Germany accordingly.”
