The wind farm, Høg-Jæren EnergiPark, is the first built by Japanese Eurus in Norway. It will consist of 26 Siemens wind turbines each rated at 2.3 MW.

The wind farm site is 40 km south of Stavanger, and is located in a hilly area, according to Eurus. It is expected to be brought into commercial operation in the autumn of 2011.

The electricity from the wind farm will be sold to Elektrizitäts-Gasellschaft Laufenburg (EGL) Nordic, a power off-take contractor.

The Norwegian Government has set a target of increasing renewable energy to 30 TWh by 2016. Wind power should generate 3 TWh by 2010.
