SCHOTT recorded an approximately 70% growth in sales to €482 million. EBIT rose from €9m to €52m.

The company’s expansion of its photovoltaics (PV) production capacities proceeded as planned. This included an increase in the crystalline cell and module production capacities to 185 MW from 135 MW and to 170 MW from 90 MW, respectively.

Thin-film production capacity increased more than 10 times, to 35 MW. The start-up of the first production line at the new Aznalcollàr factory in Spain boosted the capacities of the Concentrated Solar Power division to a total of approximately 400 MW.
