Siemens delivers 4 MW of solar PV to Czech Republic

Siemens Energy will construct a 4 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) plant for Prague construction company D.P.E.S. s.r.o.

The solar PV plant will be constructed in Dobré Pole, around 50 km south of Brno in the Czech Republic. It is scheduled for completion at the end of 2010.

As the general contractor, Siemens is responsible for the turnkey construction, engineering and project management of the solar PV power plant.

The scope of supply includes solar PV inverters, transformers, medium-voltage equipment as well as the control system.

"This first order from the Czech Republic underlines once again that we are on the right track with our photovoltaic plants business," says René Umlauft, CEO of the Renewable Energy Division.

"As a full-range supplier with convincing project management we expect further orders for medium-sized photovoltaic power plants in the future."
