EU must up the ante to reach energy efficiency goals

The EU must spend €270 billion over the next 40 years to meet its 2050 energy objectives, including an increased focus on energy efficiency across the power chain.

ECN transfers hydrogen energy research activities to HyET

The Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) will transfer some of the research activities that were previously conducted within its Hydrogen and Clean Fossil Fuels unit to HyET BV, Hydrogen Efficiency Technologies in Arnhem.

In the UK, AFC Energy has signed a commercial memorandum of understanding with the John Lewis Partnership, to evaluate the economic potential of using its alkaline fuel cell to generate low-carbon electricity for Waitrose supermarkets and John Lewis retail stores.
