UK-based solid oxide fuel cell developer Ceres Power has announced the successful design, build and testing of 1 kW grid-connected combined heat and power (CHP) products that meet all of the deliverables under the ‘Alpha’ phase of the company’s CHP program in conjunction with British Gas. This important milestone has been achieved within the timescale set out in the roadmap that Ceres agreed last year with BG.

California-based Viaspace has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hayman Ltd in the UK, a packager and distributor of alcohols and solvents worldwide. Under the deal, Hayman Speciality Products will provide methanol filling and distribution services to Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Corporation.

The new BASF Fuel Cell production facility in Somerset, New Jersey has been officially opened, as the company moves to build on its leadership in developing energy management solutions. The state-of-the-art facility uses advanced production and automation technologies to fabricate the company’s Celtec high-temperature membrane-electrode assemblies (MEAs).
